With a heavy heart we are sad to announce the passing away of Dr Kapil Sethi, MD, FRCP one of the past presidents of Association of Indian Neurologists in America and the recipient of the 2017 AINA Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Sethi was a combination of brilliant mind, great musical skills and great sports talent. He did his MBBS from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India followed by his MD in Internal Medicine and DM in Neurology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. He moved to England for MRCP and then Augusta, Georgia for residency. He stayed back as a faculty at Augusta University where served for all of his academic career. He met his wife of 45 +years Ranjit while in medical school who herself is a caring neurologist. Dr. Sethi retired about 2 yrs ago from Augusta to enjoy his retirement in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. His daughter Aditi, also a palliative care physician, was working there and they wanted to be close to family.
