Dear friend,
On behalf of the AINA Executive Committee, I want to thank each and every one of you for all that you do every day in service of our patients and supporting the community of Indian neurologists in America. In 2017, AINA has entered a partnership with Indian Academy of Neurology to jointly promote joint educational, training, research and volunteering opportunities – these activities have been going strong except for a brief lull during 2020-2021. Last year, at the height of the COVID pandemic, AINA members rallied together in raising $42,326 in support of COVID relief efforts in India.
This year, AINA started a Women’s chapter on Facebook bringing together women neurologists to discuss common interests, headed by Dr. Shubhi Agarwal. Dr. Geetanjali Rathore launched a new webcast series Reflecting with AINA in which she interviews various leaders in Neurology.
In this coming year, AINA is rolling out new initiatives in these key areas.
I hope you will take part in these efforts. You may volunteer for one of these committees by clicking on this link https://form.jotform.com/222785428292060.
We also need financial support from AINA members in order to achieve these goals. Now is the perfect time to direct your charitable giving to AINA before the end of 2022. AINA is a 501(c)(3) organization and will provide you with a tax-receipt for your donation. For those in or nearing retirement you can direct your charitable giving through a donor-advised fund thereby reducing the required minimum distribution (RMD) from retirement savings. Please complete the donation form below and give generously!
Wishing all of you Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Prakash Kotagal, M.D. FAAN, FAES
President, Association of Indian Neurologists
